Hi Mary Jean, Well, I found some things on your Hinchey Mitchell b. 1775. I find that he was married to Margaret Thomasson. Died 1863 in Clayton co., GA. His father was given as Thomas Mitchell, mother -Mary Ann Barnett. He is also know as John Hinchey Mitchell. I found a Hinchey M. Mitchell who died from disease while serving for the Confederacy in 1862, he was only 20 when he died. He is the son of your Allen David Mitchell. He served in Co. D, 14th Ga. Inf. There is a Hinchey Mitchell in Henry Co., GA. 1830, probably yours. I hope this is helpful. Doris
