I have an Elijah Mitchell in my family and have seen others. My Elijah was born in 1788 in Virginia or North Carolina and was married to an Elizabeth Vineyard. Unfortunately I don't have any other information about this branch of the tree so I don't know where he died or was buried. I have seen numerous Elijah Mitchells mentioned. So it was probably a common name. Do I ever wish for something less common than Mitchell or McFarland. Thankfully the other family I am researching is Baldus although there are enough of them to drive me crazy also. Happy researching!
