Could Green Berry have a brother, relative or friend that he named his son PRESTON after. My 2nd great grandfather Preston Mitchell came to Texas from Tennessee, had a wife named Elizabeth C. and one son John E. There may have been a son Lexus (?). In 1860 Elizabeth was married to a Ben Wheelis, who was also from Tennesse and North Carolina, and John E. was 10 years old. It is said that Preston was killed in the Civil War, but I have not been able to verify. Any help or clue as to where I might look would be DEEPLY appreciated. Thank you and have a blessed 4th.
