I sure wish I could make a connection with your Mitchell family. Like you I've hit a brick wall. I can trace my Mitchells back to William Mitchell born in 1764 in Chester County, PA. We know he then lived in Rockingham County, VA because this is the information from his application for a Revolutionary War pension. But we don't have names for his parents, any siblings or even his wife. We do have list of his children but the wife's name just eludes us. There were just too many William Mitchell's in Virginia in the late 1700s! Hope you have better luck making a connection.
