    1. [MITCHELL] Greene County Mitchell's
    2. Tony and Pat Mitchell
    3. Connie, The Calvin Mitchell in my line was born in Greene County, but around 1900, he and his older brother, William, left Tennessee for Gas City, Indiana, where they are both buried. As far as I can tell, William Mitchell never married. Larkin Mitchell was in Greene County in the 1900 census but disappeared after that, not a clue on him. John, George, and David are buried in Greene County. I think the other brother, Thomas is buried there also, but he is still a mystery. I was hoping that because the names were so much alike in some of the other Mitchell families, some one might make a connection. James Mitchell who was the father of this bunch of Mitchell's, was married to Martha Stokes. Both of them are buried in Greene County. James Mitchell's father, I think, was Thomas Mitchell who according to the 1880 Greene County census, was married to a lady who was born in Ireland. She may have been a Tucker, but no proof on that either. Thomas was listed as having been born in Virginia. We need more Mitchell's to take the DNA test, wish some more would. The answers are there, just need some more input. It certainly does not hurt and the idea of finally finding some one to help break down that wall, was enough for me to join. Keep me and my Mitchell's in mind when you are doing your search, I will appreciate any info that comes my way. Tony
