My Mitchell's came from Tennessee also but spent most of their adult life in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Calvin Thomas (Peter) Mitchell was born about 1829 in Tennessee. In the 1860 Muhlenberg County Census he is called Peter C. Mitchell, and in the 1970 Muhlenberg County Census he is called C.T. Mitchell. I'm not sure if his name is Peter Calvin Thomas Mitchell or Calvin Thomas and his nickname is Peter. Any help would be great.
