In the 1880 census James was no longer listed in Parke County, my great grandfather James D. was married in Elkhart County Indiana, December 25, 1878, and then moved on to Michigan. James D. listed in the Michigan census, his Father & Mother born in Indiana. The differences are, the middle initial and on the 1860 census, William's name changed from Mitchell to Mitchel?
