Hi Doris, I am sorry that I do not have the name of his father or mother. Daniel Foster Mitchel b. Dec 1846 MS, is the only name I have. I have also went through several TN counties bordering MS and AL, still, nothing. thought Foster could have been a family name on his mother's side in AL.
