Hi Doris, I have info.on Moses and Andrew Mitchell. They were the sons of John Mitchell and Cynthia Lillias (Morton) Mitchell. They were brothers of my gggg grandmother Sarah Mitchell who married Christopher Houston. I have a copy of "Autobiography and Reminiscences of Israel Mitchell" Copied by H.M. Hello James, I am interested in your "Cynthia Lillias" Mitchell. Very close spelling to my Lillis Mitchell, born 1823 of Clinton County, OH. Her name has been spelled various ways: Lillus, Lillie, etc. Does your book have any Lillis Mitchells? Thinking she and her sister, Thirza, might be children of James H. Mitchell of Clinton County, Ohio. This is by process of elimination. Some indication (census records) that her father was born in KY... Thee was also a Lillis Mitchell who married a Seaman in Clinton County, Ohio. This might be an aunt to my Lillis, as her age would imply. Glad to share what I have...
