I believe we have discussed this before. My Elijah was born abt. 1827-31, depending on which census you are looking at. He was listed as Elisha in the 1860 census. His brother James was born about 1825. They ended up in Franklin Co. AR. Grainger is over on the eastern side of TN, whereas Perry is sort of in the middle, but towards the western side. That's what I thought. I just wanted to caution everyone on the list to verify their Mitchell ancestor. There are so many out there with the same name. You would think that some of the uncommon first names would ensure that you had the correct Mitchell but I've found too many with the same names.
