Janine The name "Bascom" caught my eye. My grandfather's name is Edward Bascum/Bascom Mitchell. They moved from KY to AR early 1900's. Settled in Heber Springs, AR. Wife's name Dicie Ambecilla Shive(s). I don't remember that they lived in Criaghead Co AR, but were in one or two other counties. Hi Ruth, Very intriguing!! Bascom is a rather unusual name. Do you know who Edward Bascom's parents were? It would be interesting to know what other counties in Arkansas they lived in. My Mitchells were in several other Ar. Counties as well. :-) Thank you for replying, Janine
