I finally had some luck tracing my Mitchells from Wisborough Green, Sussex. England. Jacob and wife Rhoda Mitchell came to New York aboard the ship Columbia in 1833 with children, John, Thomas, Mary, Ann James and Catherine. Also, was Jacob's mother, Elizabeth Mitchell age 75. Jacob born August 6, 1794 in Wisborough Green died July 12, 1873 Rhoda born April 14, 1797 in England died 1840 I also have dates for the children if anyone is interested.
