Hi Nita, The info I'm using is a combination of my mother's and grandmother's notes. My grandmother states Celia was born in 1859 in Illinois, while my mother saw a copy of Grace Norton's birth certificate that said Celia was born in 1867. My grandmother's notes say Celia was married to Lemuel Norton while on Grace's birth certificate her father is named as Samuel Norton of Wisconsin. I don't think there was a whole lot of communication between my grandmother and her grandmother, if any. The information on Celia's sister, Minerva is correct though, as her and Howard's grandson verified in a letter to my mother. For all I know, given the lack of accurate recordkeeping during those days, my Celia may very well be the same as your 'missing" Celia. This is one of two very difficult lines I'm trying to track, mainly due to the lack of generational pass-downs of family tales. Maybe we can tie the two together and make a complete family, but I doubt it. If Celia was born in 1848, she would have been 26 when her sister was born and 36 when Grace was born. Not impossible, to be sure, but very unlikely to have that many years seperate siblings. Rick
