Edna, Mitchell line starts with a John Henry Mitchell b. abt 1760 in Virginia. He married Mary??? Their son Thomas Hardaway Mitchell was b. 1793 in Virginia d. May 29, 1853 in Walton County, Georgia. Thomas married Ruth Tillery (dau of Joshuha Tillery and Susannah Ziegler/Ziglar). Ruth was b. Mar 23, 1787 in North Carolina, d. Aug 12, 1874 in Walton County, Georgia. They had 8 children all together, my line goes through dau Susannah who was b Mar 28, 1825, d. Mar 21, 1913 in Gwinnett County, Georgia. She married William Randolph Simpson on May 27, 1847. William was b. Sep 25, 1823 in Caswell County, North Carolina and d. Sep 9, 1899 in Gwinnett County Georgia. They had 11 children. There is more information on the Simpson family. and I have a little information on the Tillery family, but less on the Ziegler family because the spelling keeps changing.
