Hi Marti, Basically, I've never researched those in KY with the Mitchell surname - All I had were the few notes on the widow, Elizabeth Dooley Mitchell who married Thomas Bibb - There are references to them in both GA and KY - Seems, she did have a son named Thomas Dooley Mitchell with her husband, Lt Thomas Mitchell who died 1788/89 in Wilkes Co GA - She being widowed and married later on, Thomas Bibb - Seems the Bibbs were already in KY - but I have no idea what part of KY - Sorry!
