    2. Brenda: It's been awhile since I've corresponded with you....How's the search going? Still searching for the parents or sibblings of my CHARLES F. MITCHELL b. NY 1834 hahaha.... QUESTION: Have you or any of the other's done any research on the later generation's of the tree? I know your line of Mitchell's ends a couple of generations back with Susanna Mitchell of NY? right? .......(MATTHEW MITCHELL line) In particular, I would like to find the names of the grandchildren of RICHARD MITCHELL AND OLIVE'S? (1770-1850)Conn> Summit NY. Richard's parents were: WILLIAM MITCHELL b.1735-1816 and SARA PARMELEE daughter of Johnathen Parmelee of Windsor, Conn.>to Albany NY. Richard and Olive Mitchell's children were: Stephen Harvey Matilda Charles Nathaniel Joseph Joshua Maybe my Charlie is a child to one of the above names? I know that he isn't one of Charles Nathaniels' kids because he had all girls :( Thanks for any help out there! Stacy :)

    3. You can try it but it may not solve the problem. I got to the point of being sick of the "unsubscribed" emails that I completely left hotmail altogether. I've subscribed to many of the lists from rootsweb and have had no problem until recently. And then it only happened on just one of the lists and left the other ones alone. I had entered the list address in my address book and on my safe list but for some reason it would NEVER put the mails in my inbox and would keep forwarding them all to my junk folder. In my case, my solution was cured by purchasing my own domain name and having it hosted on a different server. In know that isn't an option for everyone but that was my choice. (All the @#$% porno adds were getting me pretty steamed. And I don't mean in their favor either.) Just my 2 cents worth on my experience. Now back to the wonderful subject of genealogy . . . the reason for this list in the first place. Bren (Stacy ~ this is the new email, changed from clanrussell@hotmail.com)

    2. --part1_134.14c4ef86.2ac11089_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I am receiving many bounces from Hotmail, and many are being unsubscribed because their bounces exceed the system limit. Someone else sent this information which may help: Go to Hotmail and login and look under Options, in the middle column. There are 3 settings-safe list, mailing lists, and custom filter. Subscribers in L mode should add the LIST address under the mailing lists section because list mail comes TO the list address and not to the subscriber address. Mailing list posts will be treated like Spam if the list address isn't on the list of mailing lists. Digest subscribers should add the D-request address (the one the digest always comes from) to the Safe list of acceptable senders. This will help Hotmail recognize Rootsweb as mail that you would like to receive and not as spam, and may cut down on these bounces. If your email bounces more than 4 bounces, the Smart mail function of Rootsweb will automatically unsubscribe you from a list. My ancestor's name was Elijah Mitchell and he had a brother James who also came. Another family which came from TN about the same time were the Dickersons. Don't know if they came together or not, but Elijah married into the family. If anything rings a bell, please let me know. Barbra

    3. Hello, list. I have a brick wall concerning my great, great, great grandfather, John Henry Mitchell. I have found a record of him being born in Petersburg, VA in 1745, and a sure record of his death in Oglethorpe Co., GA in 1806. I know he lived in Dinwiddie Co., VA in 1893, since his son, Thomas Hardaway Mitchell, was born there at that time. I have a family member's story that he married Mary Zeigler, whose mother was a Zimmerman, and who lived in Rockingham Co, N.C. until her marriage. I can't link up the dots as to who were his mother andf father, what other children (other than Thomas Hardaway) he may have had, and I can't even prove he mnarried Mary Zeigler. If he did, I don't have anything on her ancestry. Several people have tried to help me, giving the history of some Henry Mitchells and some John Mitchells. Unfortunately, these were not my John Henry. Since the Dinwiddie courthouse burned in the War of 1812, facts are hard to come by. If anyobe out there can help me, i would greatly appreciate it. 2. Shirley Rosecrans, I do NOT have a question regarding this MITCHELL message, but do have one regarding the ROSECRANS surname. My first cousin is a descendant of a Rosecrans that migrated from Ohio to The Dalles, Oregon and then to Ridgefield WA. Supposedly he was born with the name Andon ROSECRANS, and for some reason was adopted, and his name was then Andon Prentice. I was just wondering where your Rosecrans came from. I believe Andon or his parents were from Russia originally. It is an unusal spelling of that Surname. Just curious.... Nancy Shockey «:*´`³¤³´`*:»§«:*´`³¤³´`*:»«:*´`³¤³´`*:»§«:*´`³¤³´`*:»
