I know that John Mitchell Sr. had a son, John Jr. who would have been born in the 1780's. This John may have been Zachariah's father, but we are just speculating. Where did your Mitchells live? Doris
Thanks for the info Marlene. Actually it was one of my co-workers who wanted a wall chart. After seeing some of them I think it would be nice to have a couple of the smaller ones for each of my branches just to have something on the walls. Although my family trees are not as large as some have 1500 individuals are too many to chart. So I would just do my direct line. Connie, I would suggest before you spend a lot of money on charts, that you think through how much genealogy you plan on doing and what you really want of the finished product. I started eight different charts - one for each of my eight great grandparents and still needed the full nine generation chart on five of them so far (for some reason it is called a 12 generation chart, but only has spaces for 9 generations). I am still working on the other 3 great grandparents' lines. Since these are the size of a poster, I glued them onto a poster that can be purchased at any local drug store. Using a temporary chart like this while I was working on each line allowed me to use different color ink for each surname which made it easy to find a certain surname at a glance. Now that I have five of the large type charts full, I can see that it would really be confusing with a bunch of small ones. Just something to think about. Marlene
Doris, My info shows my John born About 1780. I have no siblings of my Zachariah. What could we compare to see if we have a match? Thanks, Michelle
Jack, My father's maternal grandmother was Matilda Jane Mitchell b.1845. IN. Daughter of John Mitchell [lived in VA./ married in TN/ lived in IN/ d. 1870 Fairfield,Jefferson County, IA. [her mother was, Tabitha [Smith?]. There was a minister named "Cindy" Mitchell that was related to my Dad. A cousin, I believe. I have no information on her and very little on John Mitchell. I am at a brick wall and looking for anyone that might be able to connect my Mitchell to their line. I've had a number of requests for the information I received about my request for a genealogy/family tree wall chart. Some of links below were provided by members of the various mail lists or from what I found when I went to Google and entered genealogy charts and got some good hits. I especially liked the first site's products. There are many more but I'll let you do the search if you want more. http://www.surprise.com/frame/index.cfm?i=2259&c=84&d=10&f=4572 http://www.barnettesbooks.com/charts___forms.html http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2900452215 http://www.marthastewart.com/page.jhtml?type=content&id=channel1558 http://www.thetreemaker.com/ http://www.coastnet.com/~stellar/chart.html Someone also said she bought one at her local LDS Family History Center. Many thanks to all who responded. My co-worker who actually wanted the chart should be able to locate one he likes from this list. After the New Year I am going to order several and create wall hangings for my Genealogy Room. Happy Researching! Conni Mitchell Braun Go Ohio State Buckeyes! I bought the same chart, only 12 generations, from Deseret Book [in Salt Lake City] yesterday. Cost $1.95. The cost at the LDS Family History Centers would be the same or less. The one I bought is BIG and designed to fold down to fit into a three ring binder. Thanks to everyone who has shared ideas on where to locate genealogy wall charts. I have found some good ones and have shared them with my friend at work. Hi, I am not sure about Zachariah, but some of my Mitchells were in Hardin co., TN also. They were descended from John Mitchell from Ireland who lived in North Carolina. Doris

Does anyone have a Zackariah Mitchell born about 1813 whose father was John Mitchell? Zackariah married Mary Martha Morris in Hardin County, TN according to the info I have. Any help would be great. Thanks Michelle
I would like to connect with anyone who has an Alec Mitchell in their data base who would have been married to Amanda PRYOR. Amanda PRYOR was born in 1852 in Hannibal, Marion Co., MO. They had one child that I know of Lealan MITCHELL I know nothing else about this Mitchell line and know this is a long shot....... Kathleen Burnett
Becky, thanks for posting your data. Is it possible that you have someone named William Pennington Mitchell, born about 1790 in VA, died about 1851 in TN. He would be a third generation in the group you named. Tom Cain (tomcain@iname.com)
