ELLIOTT, 73, Rt. 1, Bronson, died Friday morning in the Branch County Health Center in Coldwater after an illness of six months. He was born in Gilead Township, Branch County, Aug. 6, 1895, to Edward and Jessie (JOHNSON) ELLIOTT. He was a lifelong resident of the Bronson rural area. He was married to Effie BECKER, March 21, 1947, in Battle Creek. Mr. ELLIOTT was a farmer and also had worked for the Douglas Manufacturing Co., until retiring in 1962. He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge here. Surviving are the widow, Effie, five daughters, Mrs. Georgia MEINKIE, Fremont, Ind.; and Lurren, Rolene, Ginger and Mickie, all at home; two sons, Gordon and Jimmie, also at home; and two grandsons. One daughter preceded him in death. Services will be held in the Kubasiak Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Frank A. Hill of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burr Oak, officiating. Burial will take place in East Gilead Cemetery. Friends are being received at the funeral home. END
