YESH, age 47, of 33472 Palmer Lake Road, Colon, Mich., died unexpectedly Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Richard was born on Dec. 25, 1954, in Battle Creek, a son of the late Floyd J. and Viola G. (LAWNICZAK) YESH. He attended Battle Creek High School and on Oct. 26, 1974, he married Carol A. VAUGHN in Colon. He made his home in the Colon area for the last 31 years, coming from Battle Creek and was a foreman working for the Colmer Division of Maxitrol Company for 29 years. Members of his family include; his wife, Carol; four children, Shanan M. and Floyd E. SMALL Jr. f Union City, Trudy I. YESH of Colon, Richard L. YESH of Sturgis and Christopher C. and Melissa J. YESH of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren, Brenden T. SMALL and Mason P. DAVIS; five brothers, Robert G. YESH of Providence, Ky., Floyd V. YESH of Hastings, LeRoy G. YESH of Houston, Texas, Allen W. YESH of Trenton, Fla., and Dennis J. YESH of Colon and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Schipper Funeral Home of Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Richard C. YESH will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church of Colon with the Rev. Clint A. Zehr officiating. Cremation will follow. If desired, memorials may be made to the New Covenant Christian Fellowship Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
