She was born Oct. 19, 1913, in Bellevue, a daughter of William and Mary (SHAVER) SCAMP. On Aug. 5, 1933, she married Harold ELDRED. He died Oct. 19, 1992. She attended school in Bellevue. She had lived all of her married life in Battle Creek, where she was employed as a licensed practical nurse several years at Community Hospital. She was a member of the Memorial Spiritualist Church, Battle Creek. Surviving are two sons, Gordon ELDRED and Danny ELDRED, both of Battle Creek; one daughter, Marjorie HAAN, Battle Creek; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen HANDLEY, Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Relatives and friends may call this evening at the Spencer Funeral Home, Athens, where services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Julia Bradford, Memorials Spiritualist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Banfield Cemetery, Battle Creek. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. END
