He was born Dec. 24, 1913, in Pioneer, Ohio, a son of Leon Nelson and Alice Hazel (EAGLE) EDINGER. He later moved to the Hillsdale area. On Nov. 27, 1941, he married Florence O. ALLEN in Hillsdale and they moved to Constantine in 1949. He worked as a machinist and retried from Jessen Manufacturing, Elkhart, in 1978 after 30 years of service. He and his wife also owned and operated the Wither Fishing Camp on the St. Joseph River since 1949. Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. David (Lorraine)PASHBY, Fort Worth, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Pennie EDINGER, Sturgis and Larry and Carol EDINGER, Paw Paw; several children to whom they opened their home; five grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce. Friends and relatives may call from 1-8 p.m. Sunday at Eley Funeral Home, Constantine, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Constantine United Methodist Church with Rev. James Barney officiating. Burial will be in Peek Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Children’s Concerns of St. Joseph County. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
