Orange St., died Nov. 8, 1990, at Thurston Woods Village. She was born July 16, 1912, in Sturgis, a daughter of Edward and Anna (JOHNS) HECHT. On June 30, 1935, she married James Robert EDGINGTON, in Bryant, Ind. He died Aug. 22, 1983. She had lived in Sturgis most of her life and she was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sturgis. Surviving are three daughters, Judith Ann GRIFFITH, Three Rivers, Mrs. William (Roberta) HARRIS, Pennville, Ind., and Karen Jo VAN MATRE, Sidney, Ohio; two sons, Major James Robert EDGINGTON Jr., Falls Church, Va., and James Michael EDGINGTON, Sturgis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Max HECHT, Sturgis; one sister, Joan SOBER, East Lansing; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. There will be no visitation. Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sturgis, with the Rev. Barry Sommerfield officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Foglesong Funeral Home, Sturgis. Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
