EAGAN, 66, 503 Myrtle Ave., Sturgis, died Jan. 3, 1979 in Sturgis Hospital, where he was admitted minutes earlier. He had been in failing health a year. Mr. EAGAN was born in Kalamazoo Sept. 18, 1912, a son of J. Charles and Edna F. (DeCOURSEY) EAGAN and had been a Sturgis resident since 1937. On Dec. 27, 1941, he was married to Mary Lee SHELDON in Sturgis. Mr. EAGAN was a member of the Sturgis Police Department from 1937-41, and retired from employment with the Michigan Liquor Control Commission of Lansing March 5, 1978 after 32 years. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council No. 2508, and a life member of BPOE Lodge No. 1381. He served with the 32nd Division of the Army in Australia and with the Red Arrow Division in Memphis during World War II. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Timothy and Charles EAGAN, both of Sturgis; two granddaughters, Nicole MILLER, Sturgis, and Lee Ann EAGAN, Lakeland, Fla.; a brother, Richard J. EAGAN, Sturgis; an aunt, Mrs. Katherine SOLLIS, Sturgis; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Isabel HUSS, Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward E. EAGAN, July 12, 1954. Friends may call at the Foglesong Funeral Home beginning Friday morning. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church at 11 a.m., Saturday, with Rev. John E. Warner officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Lawn Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Friday. END
