ELLINGSON, 74, Route 2, Box 174, died Feb. 23, 1989, at his home, following a brief illness. He was born July 6, 1914, in Platte, S.D., a son of Nels and Gurine (HAALAND) ELLINGSON. On July 16, 1938, he married Elizabeth L. ANGELL in Albert Lea. He was engaged in farming all of his life in the Austin, Blooming Prairie and Owatonna area. He retired after 12 years of employment at Owatonna Manufacturing Company. Surviving are his wife; four sons, David l. ELLINGSON, Eagan, Gary J. ELLINGSON, Bemidji, Steven L. ELLINGSON, Sturgis, Mich., and Brian P. ELLINGSON, Minneapolis; one daughter, Judith A. EGGERS, Owatonna; seven grandchildren; two brothers, one sister and 26 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services are at 2 p.m. March 11, at the Bricks Funeral Home, Owatonna, with the Rev. R. Rudolf, Owatonna St. John’s Lutheran, officiating. END
