Lakeview, died in the Froh Community Home at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday. She had been admitted there Dec. 1 after suffering a fractured hip, Mrs. ELLIS was first placed under care at Sturgis Hospital. Mrs. ELLIS was born at Constantine Feb. 28, 1886, a daughter of George and Margaret (ULRICH) CLEMENS. She was married at Constantine July 1, 1904 to Lemuel ELLIS who preceded her in death in 1943. The couple made up a team that had traveled the Orpheum Theatre circuit for many years. Mrs. ELLIS had been a Sturgis resident for the last nine years and was the last survivor of a family of 11 children. Surviving besides her daughter are her grandsons, Jack OVERLE, Columbus, Ohio, and three great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Foglesong Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Hilding Kilgren, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will take place in Constantine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Make PRESTON, George ECKER, Fred LARGE and George DIEFFENDERFER. END
