Mr. ELKINS was born in Halfway, Mich., on Oct. 24, 1924, the son of Russell Levell and Pansy (KUNCE) ELKINS. He had been a area resident since 1961, coming here from Dayton, Ohio, Mr. ELKINS was owner and operator of Frank’s Custom Collision Shop. He was married to Leona CRABTREE on Dec. 13, 1941, in Lafayette, Ind. Surviving are his widow; four sons, Frank Jr., Dann, Paul and Joseph, all of Sturgis; two daughters, Mrs. Marie WISE and Lois ELKINS, both of Sturgis; his step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver HAGERMAN, Union Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Sybilla ORR, Clarkston, Mich., and Mrs. Pauline COOK, Lake Orion, Mich.; four brothers, Russell, Boyd and Kenneth ELKINS, all of Lake Orion; and Gordon ELKINS, Hghland, Mich.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Vera SMIELSKI, Rochester, Mich., and Connie ELKINS, Union Lake. His father, one son, Russell and an infant daughter preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Foglesong Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Hilding Kilgren officiating. Burial will take place in White Pigeon Cemetery with military rites conferred by Capt. John J. Kelley Post of Veterans of Foreign War and the Neuman-Wenzel Post, American Legion. END
