Lincoln St., died July 19, 1992, at the Thurston Woods Village, Sturgis, following a long illness. She was born Jan. 30, 1896, in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of Edward and Louise (JAMES) WOOD. On Oct. 6, 1940, she married Arthur ELY, in White Pigeon. He died May 6, 1983. She was a Michigan resident since the early 1990s. She was a member of the Three Rivers Chapter 210 Order of Eastern Star, the White Pigeon American Legion Auxiliary, the Kessington Club, White Pigeon, the Alba Columbo Club, White Pigeon, and the White Pigeon First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are nephews and nieces, William WOOD, Holiday, Fla., Richard WOOD, Weston, Conn., Mrs. Ethel BANDHOLTZ, Sturgis, and Mrs. Rea TRACY, Constantine; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Mable WOOD TRACY and Mrs. June WOOD HARVEY; and two brothers, John WOOD and William WOOD. Relatives and friends will be received from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Eley Funeral Home, Constantine, where services are at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Barbara Van Essendelft, White Pigeon First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Constantine Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the White Pigeon First Presbyterian Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
