He was born Oct. 5, 1910, in Missaukee County, Mich., a son of Richard and Grace (COMMADORE) ELING. He married Josephine MEEKOF, May 12, 1937, in Missaukee County. He was a retired farmer before he moved to Florida in 1962. He moved back to LaGrange and worked for Ivers Lee in Shipshewana from 1965 to 1975 then retired again. He was a member of the First Untied Methodist Church in LaGrange. Surviving are his wife and two sons; Myron R. ELING of Albion, Ind., and Hillman J. ELING of Centreville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three brother, Joseph and Walter ELING of McBain, Mich. and Richard ELING of Seminole, Fla. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. (Ind.time) Monday at the First United Methodist Church in LaGrange with the Rev. Burkett Smith officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Calling will be at the Carney-Frost Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be directed to the heart fund. END
