U.S. 12, died June 8, 1987, at the Borgess Medical Center Emergency Room, Kalamazoo. He was born march 19, 1972, in Sturgis, a son of Dann and Diana (LARMIER) ELKINS. He was a lifelong Sturgis resident. He was a student at Sturgis High School and would have been entering the 10th grade this fall. He was a member of the Sturgis Boy Scout Troop 402 and the Salt and Light Company Youth Group of the Wesleyan Church, Sturgis. Surviving are his parents; two sisters, Amey ELKINS and Nicole ELKINS, both at home; maternal grandmother, Viola LARMIER, Sturgis; paternal grandmother, Leona ELKINS, Sturgis; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank ELKINS, in 1973; and one uncle, Russell ELKINS, in 1972. Relatives and friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Foglesong Funeral Home, Sturgis, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ray Wahl, Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be in White Pigeon Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Boy Scout Troop 402. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
