Nottawa St., formerly of 63222 W. Big Fish Lake Road, died Jan. 4, 1989, at the Sturgis Hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1898, in Beaver Dam, Ohio, a son of Elmer E. and Mellisa (RAVER) EATON. On Feb. 15, 1922, he married Florence E. HARRIS, in Centreville. She died Feb. 2, 1979. He was a Sturgis resident since 1919, coming from Otsego. He was employed at Harter Corporation more than 20 years, retiring in 1963. He was a member of the Colon Church of God. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Rachel) BURT, Battle Creek, and Mrs. Edward (Sarah) HAHN, Sturgis; six sons, Robert EATON, Otsego, Harlie EATON, Chicago, Ill., Wayne EATON, Phoenix, Ariz., Elmer EATON, Three Rivers, Carl EATON and Harry EATON, both of Sturgis; 27 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother, one step-sister and three step-brothers. Relatives and friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Foglesong Funeral Home, Sturgis, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday. Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sturgis First Church of God, with the Revs. Jack Eitelbuss, Colon Church of God and Leonard Steininger officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Colon Church of God. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
