He was born Aug. 23, 1925, in Three Rivers, a son of Warren and Margaret (MAYSTEAD) ELDRIDGE. On April 26, 1952, he married Bonnie HEALTH, in Goshen, Ind. He had worked for the St. Joseph County Road Commission the past 42 years and was currently foreman of he Leonidas Garage. He also had farmed. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Surviving are his wife; children, Cathy Lynne ELDRIDGE, at home, Mark and Debra ELDRIDGE, Colon; three grandchildren, Becky, Lindsey and Kyle ELDRIDGE, all of Colon; one brother, Cliford ELDRIDGE, Rochester; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Schipper Funeral Home, Colon, where services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday. David J. Farrell will officiate. Burial will follow in South Colon Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the ALS Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
