ELLIOTT, 77, of 2008 Miles Ave., Kalamazoo, died Saturday, July 26, in Cheboygan. Mr. ELLIOTT was born April 2, 1898, in Howe, Ind., a son of Milo and Etta ELLIOTT. He had lived in Kalamazoo the past 30 years, and for the last 18 years he had spent his summers in Mackinaw City. He retired from the Kalamazoo Stove Co. a few years ago, and at the time of his death he and his wife owned and operated the Whispering Waters Cabins, in Wilderness State Park between Mackinaw City and Cheboygan. He was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene in Kalamazoo. Surviving are the widow, June; one foster granddaughter, Mrs. Jacquelyn K. RENTFROW of Bristol, Ind.; one uncle, G.D. ELLIOTT of Sturgis and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Langeland Portage Chapel, with the Rev. Earl Hardyman officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday (Mich.time) in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, Ind. Memorials may be directed to the Southside Church of the Nazarene. END
