ELLIOTT, 74, 5480 N. 1100 E., Howe, died Aug. 31, 1996, at his home. He was born July 28, 1922, in Greenfield Township, LaGrange County, a son of Vern and Auddra (McKENZIE) ELLIOTT. On Dec. 26, 1944, he married Alice BOOTH in Sturgis, Mich. They have resided in LaGrange County. He was a retired farmer and independent truck driver. He was veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WW II and in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post #215 of LaGrange, 40/8, VFW, and Masons Star Lodge #225 F&AM of Orland. Surviving are two sons, Gene A. ELLIOTT of Naperville, Ill., and Wynn ELLIOTT of Fox River Grove, Ill.; and one sister, Derelys MEEK, of Howe; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lauris LEER. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, where services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John Long officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Prairie Cemetery, Orland, with a military graveside service by the American Legion Post #215 of LaGrange. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association N.W. Regional Office, 5729 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, Ind. 46835 END
