He was born in Chicago February 4, 1913, the son of Frank and Christina (EMREICH) EDER. EDER moved to the Kendallville area in 1940 from Fort Wayne. He was self-employed in the chemical business. He was a member of St. Gaspar’s Catholic Church in Rome City, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Sebring, Fla., and Elks Club in Lake Palcid, Fla. He was married in Albion September 13, 1981, to Cora Mae CASHMORE, who survives. Also surviving are a sister, Eunice LEITCH of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; a nephew, Thomas MASSMAN of Thousand Oaks; six step-children, 14 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren. A sister, Mildred MASSMAN, preceded him in death. A memorial service was held Saturday at 5 p.m. in St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City. Berhalter-Hutchins Funeral Home in Kendallville was in charge of arrangements. END
