He was born April 22, 1989, in Sturgis, a son of Melvin Ray and Martha Louise (YODER) KAUFFMAN. Surviving are; his parents, Melvin and Martha of Leonidas; four sisters, Sarah Joan (Orvin) YODER of Colon, Loretta Arlene (Mervin) SCHMUCKER of Leonidas; Ailene Ruth (Melvin) MILLER of Leonidas, and Edna Mae KAUFFMAN, at home; two brothers, Phinieas Melvin of Shipshewana, Ind. and Melvin Ray Jr. of Sturgis; four nephews, Richard Lavon, Matthew DaWAYNE and Mark LaWayne SCHMUCKER and Raymond Wayne MILLER; two nieces, Martha Louise and Rachel Mae MILLER; eight uncles and 11 aunts; several great-uncles and aunts and many cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Jean KAUFFMAN on Aug. 10, 1984; and grandparents, Raymond and Edna Mae KAUFFMAN and Phineas B. and Wilma Belle YODER. Relatives and friends may call Saturday at the Kauffman residence, where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. (Mich.time) Sunday with Bishop Tobe YODER and Minister Lonnie B. YODER, officiating. Burial will be in the Covey Road Amish Cemetery. Assistance in funeral arrangements was given by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon. END
