Lakeview Ave., died Sept. 6, 1992, at Thurston Woods Village. She was born April 28, 1896, in Sturgis, a daughter of Charles and Mary (TEADT) NILES. On Feb. 14, 1917, she married Arthur J. FROHRIEP, on the family farm in Sturgis. He died Nov. 28, 1944. In November 1947, she married Floyd ELY, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sturgis, and a lifelong homemaker. Surviving are one son, Harold E. FROHRIEP, Sturgis; one step-daughter, Helen Louise RAYMOND, Phoenix, Ariz.; three step-sons, Leslie ELY, Apache Junction, Ariz., Ernest ELY, Phoenix, and Dale ELY, White Pigeon; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel MAIN and Bernice STURGIS, both of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Arthur FROHRIEP; one brother, Roy NILES; one sister, Ruth BUCKHOLZ; and one great-grandson, Scott FROHRIEP. Relatives and friends may call after 2 p.m. today a the Foglesong Funeral Home, Sturgis, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sturgis, with the Revs. Calvin Kolzow and Barry Sommerfield officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Sturgis. Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
