She was born July 16, 1927, in Bronson, a daughter of Forest A. and Arvella Rolene (BASINGER) GARMAN. On May 3, 1959, she married Rexford D. EICHLER, in Angola, Ind. She was a lifelong Coldwater area resident and graduated from Bronson High School and the Lansing Beauty College. For about seven years, she and her husband lived during the winters in Pharr, Texas. She was a well known beautician and had owned several beauty salons in Coldwater, Bronson and East Lansing. She was a member of the Hairdressers Association of Michigan and helped organize and was the first president of the Hairdressers Association of Branch County. She also was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks Auxiliary and the Coldwater Country Club. She retired in 1974 from Joan’s Beauty Salon, Coldwater. She was an avid bridge player especially with the Friday Night Bridge Group. She enjoyed golf, bowling, reading, cooking, crocheting and traveling. She also was an active volunteer for the Cancer Society and had helped counsel many cancer patients. Surviving are her husband, Rex; mother, Arvella GARMAN, Cary Lake; one brother, John GARMAN, Carl Lake, Coldwater; and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her father. **NOTE clipping has Cary Lake and Carl Lake don’t know if misprint** There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kolcz Funeral Home, Bronson, with the Rev. Jerry Walsh, Bronson First United Methodist Church, officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Branch County Health Department Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
