BUCKNELL, 90, Rt. 1, Centreville, died Monday evening in Fairview Medical Care Facility, where he had been a patient since December 1973. He was born Sept. 13, 1884, in St. Joseph County, to George M. and Isabell (HOLMES) BUCKNELL. He had been a lifelong resident of the county and had been engaged in agriculture most of his life. In Dec. 29, 1910, Mr. BUCKNELL was married to Florence LAEINBACH near Centreville. She died in September of 1930. Mr. BUCKNELL was married to Ruth MASON, Dec. 24, 1931. She died in May of this year. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Centreville, the Centreville Grange, St. Joseph County Farm Bureau, and a life member of Mt. Hermon Masonic Lodge No. 24, F&AM, and was a past president of the St. Joseph County Grange Fair board. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Jane) CAMPBELL of Mendon and Mrs. Nancy MAST of Port Huron; two sons, Robert of Washington, D.C., and Kenneth of Pontiac; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Seattle, Wash.; and one sister, Ella BUCKNELL of Portland, Ore. One sister preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Rexrode-Rosenberg Funeral Home in Centreville. Services will be held in the First United Methodist Church in Centreville at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Charles W. Smith, the pastor will officiate. Burial will be made in Prairie River cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Heart Fund. END
