Mrs. CARR was a resident of Branch County until she moved in 1940. She was born Jan. 20, 1897, a daughter of Stanley E. and Minnie (JOHNSON) HOLMES, in Dayton, Tenn. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Marjorie) LYON, Montpelier, and Mrs. Frances DALZELL of Bronson; two sons, Robert S. of Hillsdale and William Sherwood Township; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lena VAN MIDDLESWORTH of Climax and Mrs. Lucille SEZY and Mrs. Leslie (BERTHA) PECK, both of Battle Creek. Services will be held in the Spencer Funeral Home in Athens at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will take place in Burr Oak Cemetery, Athens. END
