Greetings St Joseph Co., MI researchers, Due to the recent change in the GenConnect Boards and the way they've been gatewayed to the MISTJOSE mailing list, (this action was 'automatic' and not controlled by me) you've noticed a 'huge' increase in activity. I'm notified every time someone sends an email to the mailing list, whether it's a posting, an unsubscribing request or a subscribing request. I'm making you aware of this because the past few days, we've had a tremendous number of people UNsubscribe due to the number of emails arriving in their 'inbox'. I am so disheartened by this as these researchers are depriving themselves of some wonderful potential data that might help them with their genealogy research. I encourage anyone who is even 'thinking' of unsubscribing to try the following. Unsubscribe from the mailing list in LIST mode and resubscribe to the mailing list in DIGEST mode. There's a HUGE difference in the way the emails arrive in your inbox. In the LIST mode, you'll receive every email individually. In the DIGEST mode, you'll receive 2-3-4 emails per day. (Much easier to handle if you don't want a bunch of emails in your inbox). Here are the directions if you want to change. UNsubscribe from the LIST mode by sending an email to the following: MISTJOSE-L-request@rootsweb.com with the single word, unsubscribe in the subject line and body of the email. then send an email to SUBSCRIBE to the DIGEST mode: MISTJOSE-D-request@rootsweb.com with the single word, subscribe in the subject line and body of the email. We (the researchers of St Joseph Co., MI) are 'so' fortunate to have a very dedicated lady who, for the past year or so, day after day, has sat at her computer and transcribed obituaries and posted them to the GenConnect boards. She does this out of the goodness of her heart and because she loves the study of genealogy and wants to help others.
