Railroad St., Mendon, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Three Rivers Hospital, Wednesday evening, of a heart attack. She was born in Kalamazoo on May 22, 1908, a child of Elmer and Jessie (BALCH) MILLER. She was married to Leon HOOVER in Kalamazoo, in 1927, and the couple resided in Battle Creek until 1932. They had lived for the last 30 years in Mendon. Mrs. HOOVER worked at one time for The Mendon Company, a nursing home in Athens and later for the Point Lunch in Athens. She was a member of the Jehovah Witness sect. Surviving are her husband; a son, Robert, of Long Island, N. Y.; three daughters, Mrs. George (Edna) SHIMP, of Sturgis; Mrs. Shirley (Barbara) MOYER of Kalamazoo; and Mrs. Garet (Audrey) HAMMINGA, of Leonidas; two brothers, Walter MILLER, of Arizona, and Lloyd MILLER, of Kalamazoo; and 14 grandchildren. A son, Walter, died in World War II. Services will be conducted at the Eickhoff Funeral Home, in Mendon, at 2 p.m., Saturday. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery. END
