BOWERMAN, FOSS, BENNETT, WELCH, HORNBECK, DOWD, ENGLER Martha E. FOSS, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred FOSS, was born in Chicago, Illinois, July 11, 1871, and departed this life April 18, 1924, at her home in Mendon, Michigan. In 1875, they moved from Chicago to Indiana and from there to Michigan in 1879. Here she received the remainder of her education and later united in matrimony to Mr. Edward BOWERMAN in 1895. Three years ago last fall they moved from northern Michigan to Mendon. Deceased is survived by her husband and six children, four boys and two girls, viz; Carl who lives at Brainerd, Minn.; Seth, Mrs. Blanche BENNETT, Dallas, Elton and Ruth, all living at home. She leaves four sisters and one brother, viz; Mrs. Anna WELCH and Mrs. Lena HORNBECK of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Minnie DOWD of Fibre, Michigan; Mrs. Eliza ENGLER of Mendon and Andrew FOSS of White Cloud. The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church, Sunday afternoon last, April 20, at 2:30, the Rev. Chase officiating. Interment in Mendon cemetery. CARDS of THANKS We wish to sincerely thank all those who so kindly extended their sympathy and aid during our great sorrow at the loss of our dear wife and mother; also, for the beautiful floral gifts.
