MOYER, PETERS, GREEN, LAFFLER, BITNER, LAVENDER, METTY Mendon; Vern Abraham MOYER, 70, whose home was on Rt. 1, died early Wednesday morning at his home after several years of failing health. He was born in Vicksburg, May 1, 1900, the son of Charles and Sophia (PETERS) MOYER. Mr. MOYER had lived in the Leonidas and Mendon areas all his life. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. In November of 1921, he was married to Fern GREEN, in Three Rivers. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Robert and Paul, both of Mendon; one granddaughter, three grandsons, two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Dora) LAFFLER, Centreville and Mrs. Clarence (Rena) BITNER, Three Rivers and nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Luella LAVENDER and Florence METTY, preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, with the rev. Harold R. Simon officiating. Burial will take place in Leonidas Cemetery. END
