    3. Nancy and list members, This is your choice, of course, but I urge you to reconsider. We have been blessed with a County that has a tremendous amount of activity due to the generosity of volunteer transcribers who take it upon themselves to submit obituaries, biographies (and more) for researchers to view. We are so fortunate to have this level of activity and I am honored to 'host' not only this Mailing list, but the St Joseph Co., MI USGenWeb site which also contains a huge amount of data for researchers to enjoy (due to the generosity of submitters). Awhile back, RootsWeb (the actual 'owner' of the Mailing lists and the GenConnect Boards) was bought out by MyFamily.com. MyFamily.com took it upon themselves to merge/gateway the GenConnect posting Boards with each respective/coinciding Mailing list. I had no say (as the Administrator of the GenConnect boards (now known as a Message Board) nor as the Listowner of the Mailing list). It just happened. There was no discussion, nor input and they (MyFamily.com/RootsWeb) felt it would be in our (the researcher's) best interests. If you're subscribed to the mailing list, the posting from a Message Board is sent out right a way. This gives the researcher an immediate opportunity to view a posting made 'at' the Message Board. Although there is a lot of emails arriving daily in your inbox, it is simple enough to scan through the messages and hit the delete button. Although you do not see the Digest Mailing list as an alternative, it does serve a purpose for those researchers who would rather recieve just 3-4 messages per day (several email messages are combined into 1 email). If you have your heart set on not subscribing to the mailing list in Digest form, the only other alternative I can recommend at this time is to occassionally scan the Archives of the MISTJOSE-L mailing list. That URL is located at the following website address: http://searches2.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl Good luck with your research, Regards, Denise MISTJOSE-L mailing list Listowner Hi, Because of this change I have been forced to unsubscribe and I really didn't want to. I belong about a dozen other lists and they don't do this. Who's idea was this anyway? Before you suggest it I don't like the digest format. Nancy Washington Twp., Mi.
