HACKER, 65, 1214 Mendon Road, died Feb. 12, 1987, at his home. He was born June 29, 1921, in Leonidas Township, St. Joseph County, a son of Rudolph and Nellie (CARLISLE) HACKER. On April 19, 1941, he married Esther LANDFAIR, in Napoleon, Ohio. He was a lifelong resident of rural Athens and was a well known farmer in the area. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Charlene) BELSON, Osseo; one son, Ronald L. HACKER, Athens; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother Nellie CUMMINGS, Sturgis; one sister, Mrs. Raymond (Albert) FROST, Sturgis; two brothers, Robert HACKER, East Peoria, Ill., and Harold J. HACKER, Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Schipper Funeral Home, Colon, where services are at 1 p.m. Monday. David J. Farrell, Colon, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Colon. Memorials may be directed to the Colon Future Farmers of America Scholarship Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END
