(Mohney) Carr for St. Joseph County Michigan USGenWeb >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ROCKELEIN, Nicholas, March 29, 1905 ROCKELEIN, RABHEM Nicholas ROCKELEIN, died at his home in Leonidas township, St. Joseph Co., Mich., on Wednesday, March 29, 1905, after an illness of only a few days, aged 51 years. Mr. ROCKELEIN was born in Berne, Germany, and received his education in his native town. At the age of 18 he entered the German Army and served for three years, after which he came to America and to the State of Ohio, stopping at Akron. In 1883 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary RABHEM. One year later they came to Michigan and to the farm where they have since lived. Mr. ROCKELEIN was a man of sterling character and was loved and respected by all who knew him, he possessed a large circle of friends who mourn his loss. He leaves a wife, five daughters and two sons; funeral services were held April 1st, at St. Edward's church, Mendon, and interment in St. Edward's Cemetery.
