Mrs. Lotta B. NICOLLS, 90, mother of Hugh NICOLLS, Kalamazoo realtor, died suddenly Thursday morning in Three Rivers, Mich. For the last 15 years she had lived in Mendon, but the greater part of her life had been spent in Leonidas township. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman BISHOP, were among the first pioneers to settle in this area during the 1930's. Funeral plans are still undecided but will be held in Mendon. In addition to Hugh NICOLLS, she is survived by another son, John B. NICOLLS, Ann Arbor, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Cora ROBERTS, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Roy M. PORTER, Malone, N. Y., and four grandchildren. Her husband, George A. NICOLLS, died in 1937. Second clipping; Lotta NICOLLS Buried At Leonidas Sunday. Services for Mrs. Lotta NICOLLS, 90, who died July 3, in Brayman Nursing Home, Three Rivers, was held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Eickhoff Chapel here. The Rev. Elvin Finkbeiner, Methodist pastor, officiating, with burial in Leonidas. Mrs. NICOLLS was born Sept. 27, 1861 in Leonidas Twp., daughter of Lyman Henry BISHOP and Cora Sophia BROOKS BISHOP. She was married to George NICOLLS in Leonidas in 1885. Mrs. NICOLLS was Mendon librarian a number of years. She was a member of Abiel Fellows Chapter, DAR, White Shrine and the O.E.S., and an honorary member of Mendon Woman's Club. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Cora ROBERTS, Chicago; two sons, John, Ann Arbor and Hugh, Kalamazoo; a sister, Mrs. Roy PARKER, Malone, N. Y. Mr. NICOLLS died in 1936. END
