Kathy, I have a George Miller who is married to a Mariah Follett, who could be from the same family as this Follett. George Miller's wife, Mariah A. Follett, was born in NY July 8, 1817, so maybe Harriet could be Mariah's sister? Henry Follet, Mariah's father is discussed as the first medical doctor in Cass Cty., (History of Cass Cty., Mathews.) This article says he had 6 children, but does not name them. I know that one was Urial, but I do not know the names of the rest of them. Henry Follet and his wife are buried at Five Points Cemetery near George and Mariah Miller. The stones say the following: Dr. Henry Follet died December 14, 1849, aged 61 yrs., (1 m., 9 dys., I think, but this part is hard to read). Diane, My Harriet Froenyn FOLLET was born: Oct 27, 1820 in New York died: March 6, 1852 in Sturgis, St. Joeseph Co., MI I think that Harriet's father may have been Calvin FOLLETT. This guess is made due to census information: This from my notes: 1840 Elba, Genesee County, NY - Pg. 627, M704, Film 287 Ransom Lester 1male 20 - under 30 1 female 15 - under 20 directly above them is: Calvin Follett 2 males 20 - under 30, 1 male 30 - under 40, 1 male 60 - under 70, 1 female 15 - uner 20, 1 female 50 - under 60 KR note: Ransom and Hariett named their second son Calvin Luvant Perhaps Your Henry FOLLETT was a uncle to my Harriet>............ making Mariah and Harriet cousins............... I have seen no evidence that Calvin FOLLETT moved on to Michigan.
