I joined this list a couple weeks ago and have seen very little action on it. On other lists that I belong to they have done Roll Calls listing the names that are being searched in the area and have gotten the list going and family members found. Let's give it a try! From what I have found, my ggrandfather Fred BEARDSLEY (b. 3/1/1872) was from this area prior to moving to Warren, PA where he married Jennie CRAWFORD/KOEFOD. Any info or leads on Fred's birth or parents would be appreciated. Kelly Raymond Chautauqua County, NY

She was possibly married to a LEIBER before she married Millard HARVEY and had a daughter Aggie LEIBER born about Sept 1882. She married Millard HARVEY about 1889-1890. She would have married the LEIBER 1881-1882. I don't know if he died or they divorced before 1890. Can anyone help me? I would like to find out her maiden name, her birth and death dates and Millard's birth and death dates. He died before 1910 census. Thanks, Pam

Dear List members, For the past several months we have been doing research, and entering information on our website about Primitive or Old School Baptist churches, and their members' surnames, in about twenty of the northern states across America. We have been working on Pennsylvania and Michigan lately, but have a long ways to go, as we have not done nearly as much research on churches in those states as in Illinois and others closer to us. However, we wish to submit what we have to the genealogy research public, in hopes of obtaining help, information about the location of records, and just to be of help wherever we can. We realize our information will not help a large percentage of genealogists, but since many of the churches are very old, we may be able to help some in Pennsylvania or Michigan, as we have in other states. We have a library of church periodicals with several thousand obituaries in them, and a database of names of members which now exceeds 30,000 and growing. The surnames we have given serve as an index to our database which includes full names, and in some cases we have obituaries, etc. If you wish to take a look at our whole website, go to: http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/pbl.html Or, if you wish to go the Pennsylvania and Michigan page directly, replace the pbl.html at the end of the URL with FamHist-NY.html We welcome you to write in our guestbooks, or to write to us. It may take us a few days to reply to email. Sincerely, Elder Robert Webb The Primitive Baptist Library 416 Main Street Carthage, IL 62321 ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! I am a great great granddaughter of Henry VanDerCook WEATHERWAX, son of Andrew and Alida/Olive (VAN DER COOK) Weatherwax. Olive was the next younger sibling to Cornelia VanDerCook GARRISON. Another sister, Sarah VanDerCook MORRISON (John), is buried in the Constantine Cemetery. All three were daughters of Henry and Anna (FRANCISCO) VanDerCook. In late 1990, I was the first of his many descendants to file for membership in the Daughter of the American Revolution based on the Revolutionary War service of Henry VanDerCook in the 14th Regiment of Albany Co. Militia ("Colonel Peter Yates' Regiment"). I was subsequently accepted for membership in the society on 1 February, 1991. In August of 1991, I was present when the Abiel Fellows Chapter, DAR of Three Rivers marked the graves of both Anna and Sarah. They were honored as Daughters of a Revolutionary War soldier. (I have a photograph of the ceremony held at Anna's grave.) I have a complete transcription for Peek Cemetery up and running on my computer, so feel free to ask any questions you might have. I have absolutely no ancestry information for John PEEK...not even the names of his parents! I do have parental names, but am otherwise without ancestors for John Garrison. I have seven children listed for John and Anna (Garrison) Peek, as follows: 1. Unnamed male infant, born and died 2 June, 1816 2. James Peek, born 25 July, 1817; died 3 January, 1845 3. Cornelia Peek, born 13 October, 1819 in NY; married Orrin Francis HOWARD 8 February, 1938 in Michigan; died 19 February, 1866 in Florence Twp., St. Joseph Co., MI; buried in Peek Cemetery. I have 8 children listed for Orrin and Cornelia. 4. Caroline Peek, born 2 May, 1821 in NY, married Norman ROYS 16 March, 1837 in Florence Twp., St. Joseph Co., MI; died 18 February, 1897 in MI, buried in Peek Cemetery. I have 3 children listed for Norman and Caroline. 5. Catherine Peek, born 8 February, 1823 in NY; died 17 February, 1896. 6. Sally Ann Peek, born 12 April, 1825 in NY; married her cousin, James Judson Peek (He was a son of Jesse J. Peek and Anna Garrison. Anna was a daughter of John and Cornelia [VanDerCook] Garrison.); died 17 June, 1891; buried in Peek Cemetery. I have no children listed for James and Sally. 7. Eliza Jane Peek, born 6 March, 1827 in NY; married 31 May, 1843 Julian Rossiter Howard; died 19 May, 1904 Florence Twp., St. Joseph Co., MI; buried 22 May, 1904 Peek Cemetery. I have 11 children listed for Julian and Eliza. There clearly are gaps that are begging to be filled...if you would be so kind! In return, I have the VanDerCook connection pretty much totally done. If you want gravesite photographs, I can oblige. (We have a digital camera.) I can also provide you with photographs of the NY graves of Henry VanDerCook and his father, Michael. I am also related to the EDDY family through my great-great grandmother, Eliza Jane Eddy. Tracing her Eddy family ancestry has presented me with my one great stone wall. If there is anything in particular that you need from the St. Joseph-Cass Co. area, please feel free to ask. I will be working in the locality over the next several weeks as I am in the process of clearing up some loose ends for a couple of my outstate BLOOD and Weatherwax cousins. Linda Wilbur Homer, MI
