Main St., died Feb. 22, 1993, at the Sturgis Hospital. She was born Dec. 18, 1901, in St. Joseph County, a daughter of Rudolph and Elzora (EAGLEY) YUNKER. On Nov. 24, 1923, she married Clarence (Doc) EASTERDAY, in Coldwater. He died in 1945. She was a lifelong resident of St. Joseph County with the exception of a few years when she lived in Elkhart, Ind. She was employed 21 years at the Kirsch Company before her retirement in 1968. She was a member of the Sturgis Wesleyan Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Arlene) WAGNER and Phyllis JORDAN, both of Sturgis; one son, Dean EASTERDAY, Sturgis; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Inez (WARMBREAD) MISHLER, Goshen, Ind., and Helen LACOUNT, Ripton, W?, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four children; three brothers, Elmer, Carl and Lloyd YUNKER; and three sisters, Laura CROTSER, Esther STORMS, and Florence MILLER. Relatives and friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Rosenberg-Schipper Funeral Home, Sturgis, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph G. Liddick, Sturgis, Wesleyan Church, officiating. Burial will be in Five Point Cemetery, Edwardsburg. Memorials may be directed to the Commission on Aging. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. END

KULP, in Fremont, Ind. He had lived most of his life in St. Joseph County. He was a farmer and a retired service station owner. He also owned and operated a woodworking business. He was a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Surviving are his wife; four sons, Rodney EASTERDAY, Three Rivers, Ronny KULP, Charles KULP and Robert KULP, all of Constantine; three granddaughters; three sisters, Girlene ROBINSON, Camden, Pauline COLE, San Diego, Calif.; and Helen ARCHER, Denver, Colo.; one brother, Jay EASTERDAY, Montgomery. Funeral services were held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Elmer Yoder home with Bishop LaVern Lambright and the Rev. Sam Mast Jr. officiating. Burial was in the Hawpatch Cemetery near Topeka. During the summers he operated a lawn care business. He was a member of the Wesleyan Church. He lived his entire life in the county. He married Ida CHRISTNER November 28, 1935. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. William (Fannie Mae) LENGACHER Jr., and Mrs. Bill (Gladys) YODER, both of Shipshewana; two sons, Perry and Orla, both of Shipshewana; two brothers, Raymond, Kenton, Ohio, and Samuel, Goshen; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Calling will be all day Tuesday at the family home. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. at the Chris Lambright house, CR 675W, Shipshewana, with Bishop Casper Hochstetler and the Revs. Marvin Bontrager and Jerry Yoder officiating. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana. END

Erwin A. Self, officiating. James Rice was the vocalist. Mrs. Jesse Morrison served as organist. Interment took place in the Knause Cemetery, south of Coldwater, where Rev. Self again served as officiant. Casket bearers, all Nazarene church members, were Jesse MORRISON, James RICE, Fay HART, Dale MAST, James COLLIER and Roy VAN ZILE. Mrs. Eash’s casket occurred unexpectedly in her home at 217 N. Orange St. shortly after 5 p.m. last Thursday. She is known to have made a telephone call from her home at 5 p.m. and the discovery of her body was made by a neighbor 15 minutes later. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. EASH had been a Sturgis resident for nearly half a century. END
